Spiced pecans


  • 1 pound pecan halves
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/four teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • one/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

How to Make It

Preheat oven to 350°F. Place pecans in a bowl. Melt butter more than lower heat and stir in spices, salt, pepper and sugar. Get rid of from heat stir right up until sugar dissolves. Pour more than pecans and mix effectively.

Spread pecans evenly on a big rimmed cookie sheet and bake, stirring often, until finally dark brown and fragrant, twenty to 25 minutes. Season with additional salt and pepper although warm. Cool fully just before serving. (Can be produced up to a week ahead preserve covered and refrigerated.)
