Misty Ice Designs Link Exchange
We've finally brought in the Link Exchange system that has become so popular among other sites. Before you begin to read the rest of this, this area is not for affiliation. If you're looking for affiliation, please go to the affiliation section of the website. =)
Detail on Link Exchange
The purpose of a Link Exchange is to create a text link bond between two sites. What happens is you give SiteA your link, description of why you want a Link Exchange and then, obviously, your site name and link to it. If SiteA decides that your site is a good influence and whatnot on their site, then you do a Link Exchange. You post SiteA's link on your site, SiteA posts yours on theirs. Pretty simple, right?
Of course, not everyone gets Link Exchange and we do have standards, though they aren't as high as the ones we have for Affiliation. Here are some basic guidelines:
+ Your site must be pretty organized/easily navigated.
+ Our Link MUST be visible in a clearly designated Link Exchange/Link Out section. We can't be in the bowels of your "Mess of crap" section. We have a section for you, so we expect the same.
+ You can have broken links throughout your site, but no more than ten. With a site like that, having a Link Exchange is pretty pointless.
+ You can be on Hiatus, but no more than three months at a time without notification. If you contact us ahead of time saying "I'll be out of town/business trip/family emergency" whatever, we're not going to be like "OMG U GO AWAY NOW. [DELETE]"
+ Be nice! If we find any hatred promoting propaganda on your site, we won't Link Exchange.
And of course, anything else that's blatantly obvious falls in, too. =) It's really very simple and lax. If you feel you're up to these low standards, please feel free to e-mail me with your Site Name, Link to your Site, Short Description of how you found us, and any other comments you have and PLEAAAASE in the Subject line put "Link Exchange with MID", then I'll gladly look you over ASAP. Generally, I check that e-mail everyday and I should get back to you within two days of your entry. If you're accepted, you'll see yourself listed alphabetically. If you're not, I'll tell you why and if you choose to fix it, you can re-apply as soon as you'd like.
